We are joining forces with Service Education Adventure and Foss Waterway Seaport to offer pre-service students, faculty and K-12 educators in school districts located in Tacoma/ Puyallup River watershed for a two day professional development workshop. Day 1 will be at Foss Waterway Seaport in Tacoma, WA and day 2 will be aboard the sailing vessel Carlyn.
This professional development workshops will assist K-12 educators with resources and curriculum ideas for increasing their effectiveness in facilitating field science education, including marine, watershed and stormwater education experiences.
Designed to be a valuable hands-on introduction and asset to facilitating student-designed, field-based science research, we’ll be hosting trainings both at Foss Waterway Seaport (October 19) and aboard the Carlyn, Salish Sea Expedition’s 61’ sailing vessel (October 20).
