A Parents Role
Each year, several Salish Sea Expeditions take place simply because a parent has brought the idea to their child's teacher. Parents play an important part in every expedition from start to finish, beginning with fund-raising and packing the appropriate clothes and ending with transportation and effective follow up questions for your child.
If you are a parent interested in suggesting a Salish Sea Expeditions experience to your child's teacher, please feel free to contact the Salish office at firstname.lastname@example.org for additional information and supporting materials.
Where’s my child? Is your child currently on a trip? Or, are you curious about where your child’s expedition sailed? Visit the expedition tracking and locate our most recent communications from the boat about their position as well as current weather, status of research, and other interesting information.
What’s did your child think of the expedition? Did your child recently participate in a Salish Expedition? As we continue to improve the Salish Sea Expeditions program, we’d appreciate it if you could complete our parent survey. We value your opinions about how Salish Sea Expeditions influenced your child.
